My Rock Music Videos
This is the first summer out of my three in China where I won't be doing an extended backpacking vacation. It sucks having to work all the time.
I really do long for the more carefree days of yesteryear.
One of the things I'm nostalgic about is playing concerts with my friends in Xi'an.
My favorite show was the one my brother sat in on drums for. Incredibly, my parents were there for the show too. My brother and I playing a rock show in central China in front of our parents. Unreal.
I have several videos from the show, which I posted last year, but I'll post some of them again on their one year anniversary:
Arise:
"Arise" makes me laugh. This is the only video where my brother (drums) and I (guitar) are in the same frame for an extended period of time. The two of us wank out so much in this clip. So much fun!
Gezellig:
My brother's drumstick twirl at :49 is pretty badass. The hardest of hardcore "Xi'an Incident" fans will notice that the guitar riff I throw down at 1:37 is sans auto-wah, unlike the studio album we recorded.
Leave It Outside:
This is a great track. Really got going by the end of the song.
Sometime in the future I'll post a few more of these videos from my glory days at the ol' jazz bar in Xi'an.
